EUROPEAN AND DUTCH PATENT ATTORNEY, UPC REPRESENTATIVE

After finalizing my study in organic chemistry and obtaining a PhD at the University of Groningen, I became a patent attorney. In that capacity I have worked for more than 20 years in various companies in the chemical and food industries. I joined Patent Business B.V. in 2024.

I have extensive experience in drafting patent applications, arguing patentability, in opposition and appeal procedures, freedom to operate studies, and trade secret protection. In my role as a patent attorney, I have been involved in Intellectual Property related law suits in int. al. China, Germany, and Italy. My technical expertise includes organic and inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, nutrition and food technology.
